WIPO Director General Francis Gurry welcomed on December 18, 2018 the accession of the Philippines to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled.
Ambassador Evan P. Garcia, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, who deposited the instrument of accession, said the accession to the Marrakesh Treaty was a further sign of his country’s commitment to multilateralism.
