Jan Noordzij (b. 1964) is enthusiastic, driven, and passionate. Born in the Netherlands, he moved to Antwerp (Belgium) in 2011, where he became the titular organist of the Saint Walburga Church, a church that now houses multiple organs, pianos, and harmoniums, thanks to his efforts. Additionally, he is also an organist at Saint Michael's Church. He studied with Antwerp Cathedral organist Peter Van de Velde and is involved in organizing concerts in Antwerp.
Jan performs concerts and regularly collaborates with soloists. He also enjoys composing. Jan says, “Composing is like breathing with my soul. It’s a kind of immersion in a space you create yourself. This can perhaps be best described as true freedom! For me, there is no better way to get closer to yourself, and consequently to others.”
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Jan has become more active online on YouTube. His channel now features nearly 500 music videos in various styles. He receives online requests from all over the world to play music. Follow Jan by subscribing to his YouTube channel.
