Jeremy Christian is accused of stabbing three men abroad a MAX train in Northeast Portland on May 26, 2017. Two of the men he stabbed, Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche and Ricky Best, passed away from their injuries. One man, Micah Fletcher, lived. KGW interviewed him just a few days after the stabbing, when he was released from the hospital.
The attack by Christian, a self-proclaimed white nationalist, shocked the nation and sent the Portland community into mourning. The trial begins January 2020.
