"被"字句 (bèi zì jù) is often used to express the passive voice and sometimes indicates an undesirable situation.

A: 他喝了我的咖啡。（A2/HSK2）
Tā hē le wǒ de kāfēi.

B: 我的咖啡被他喝了。（B1/HSK3）
Wǒ de kāfēi bèi tā hē le.

My coffee is gone because he drank it. Using a "被"字句 (bèi zì jù), it emphasizes that the reason for "my coffee is gone" is that "he" drank it. 🤷‍♀️
