Stand up paddleboarding has proven it's not a flash in the pan fitness trend so we decided it was high time we learned to paddle a surf board. To get the key tips any beginner needs to know, Kyla heads to Okanagan Lake in Kelowna, BC to meet up with the self-described 'elder in training', Bob Purdy from Paddle for the Planet.
Not only does she get a full lesson, she finds some inspiration from a man who has made it his mission to put his paddling to good use through the World Paddle for the Planet movement.
All of that on a sunny day on the lake -- and she didn't even get wet!
