It's time for yet another trip back to Germany (which is becoming a very popular holiday destination on this channel!) and another "Two For One" upload. Dexys would often merge two songs together into one elongated performance in their live shows so it would seem a shame to separate them...
"Welcome to The Bridge, first of all there's just one little thing we have to get straight from the start..." announces Kevin Rowland, introducing the as-yet unreleased new Dexys single. "Let's Get This Straight (From The Start)" was the first new Dexys composition to surface on the back of the global success brought by "Come On Eileen" - and the first to be written by the new creative team of Rowland, O'Hara and Adams. Although it reached the U.K. Top Twenty (backed by Double-A side "Old"), the single's performance failed to maintain the momentum of Dexys' previous exploits.
