Air traffic at London Heathrow continues to remain low compared with pre covid times. So here is a look back to 2018 where in this short film you’ll see aircraft from each of the BA fleet in service at the time.
First up there is the unmistakable profile of the 747. G-CIVL lifts off from 27 R heading for New York JFK. Such a regular sight in those days...now sadly in pieces at Kemble Airport....
Then we see the elegant 767. We see G-BZHC taxiing from Terminal 5 - spot the multiple tail fins of the parked aircraft on the piers at T5 as the aircraft passes the camera.
Then we see and hear close up BA 767 G-BNWX as she passes and climbs en route to Athens. This aircraft was withdrawn from service later in 2018 and is now sadly just a memory.
And then another 747- G-BYGE - now languishing at Kemble ; the only named 787 - G-ZBJJ - can you make out the name under the cockpit window?
And more...including 747 G-CIVT - possibly one of the few ex BA 747s that may still fly in the future; having flown to Teruel in Spain in April 2020 and now Re registered on the Bermudian aircraft registry...
And of course the A380 - G-XLEJ lifts away with the San Francisco afternoon service -BA287.
Enjoy this short film! Steve.
