“Iran has got experiences which we don’t have, some years ago, we have some little oil here which we discovered some years ago and I had my arguments with our new colonial agents who are saying that we should only build a pipeline for crude oil but not refinery.”

“The Western countries and the system of dominance in the world - they are not generally interested to see that the countries which enjoy great resources and reserve oils of the national resources to be independent and they don’t want to see that these countries are adding value to their own resources and they are very interested in buying the raw material from these countries and to do the processing industries on these raw materials and sell the final product with multiplied prices to the same countries. Today in Iran we are doing our best in order to stop the selling of the resources in raw materials especially when it comes to the mining sector, petrochemical sector or oil sector and so we are trying to have the processing industry in the country. At the same time, we create employment and we bring added value.”

17. SOUNDBITE (Farsi) Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran:
++PROVIDED BY OFFICIAL TRANSLATOR++
“Having the culture of establishing and forming a family and at the same time the culture of “genuineness” is another common point between Iran and Uganda. We pay great attention to the issue of establishing families and we believe that it is a fundamental principle. The West is today trying to promote the idea of homosexuality and of course by homosexuality they are trying to end the generation of human beings and at the same time they are acting against the inherence and the nature of human beings I believe that this issue and these strong attacks by the West against the establishment of families and against the culture of the nations is another area of cooperation for Iran and Uganda. The Western countries try to identify homosexuality as an index of civilisation while this is one of the dirtiest issues and one of the dirtiest things which have been done during the history and they are strongly attacking against the basis of families and culture of the nations.”
