구약성경의 출애굽기 3장에는
광야의 바람 속에서 불타는 떨기나무를 목격한
모세가 등장한다.
불은 타올랐지만 사라지지 않았다.
그 불은 두려움이 아닌, 꺼지지 않는 하나님의 임재였다.
그 자리에서 하나님은 모세를 부르시고,
자신의 이름을 알려 주셨다.

히브리어 네 글자 이름, 야훼(YHWH) —
직역하면 “I will be who I will be.”
곧, “나는 되어갈 나”이자,
“나는 가면서 드러날 자”라는 뜻이다.
광야 속에서, 폭풍 속에서 가면서 알게 될 그 이름.

우리의 믿음은 그분을 규정하는 데 있지 않다.
그분을 따라 걷는 것으로 완성된다.
오늘도 우리는 묻는다.
“하나님, 당신은 누구십니까?”
그분은 대답하신다.
“너는 가면서 알게 될 것이다.
나는 가면서 너에게 드러날 그다.”

‘I will be who I will be’, 야훼!
길 위에서 알아가는 신앙의 여정을 노래한다.

🎵 I Will Be Who I Will Be (Yahweh)
“A journey of faith —
discovering the Name on the way.”

In the book of Exodus 3 in the Old Testament,
Moses stands in the wilderness,
before a burning bush.
The fire blazes, yet it does not consume.
It is not a fire of fear,
but the unending presence of God.

There, God calls Moses by name
and reveals His own.
The four sacred Hebrew letters — YHWH (Yahweh) —
literally mean, “I will be who I will be.”
It is the name that means,
“I am the One who becomes,”
“I am the One who will be revealed along the way.”

In the wilderness,
in the storm,
His name is known as we go.

Faith does not define who God is.
Faith is walking with Him.

Even now, we ask,
“God, who are You?”
And He answers,
“You will know as you go.
I will be revealed to you along the way.”

“I will be who I will be” — Yahweh.
It is the name that sings
of a faith discovered on the road.

Before the burning tree I stood in awe,
A flame that shone but never faded out.
Without a question, still Your name was heard—
I will be who I will be.

Only by walking do I see Your face;
Your holy name shines brightly on the way.

I learn Your name as I walk through the days—
In winds that tremble, in the tears I shed.
In every place where all my steps have paused,
I will be who I will be, Yahweh.

When all my day collapses into night,
And dawn breaks open with another light,
You come to me with yet another face,
And every step, I learn Your heart again.

How great You are—my soul lifts up in praise.

Your name still shines within my darkest fear;
