Описание: Raised in Woodside, California, Mackenzie is a Duke alumni class of 2018 where she received a B.A. in Political Science, and a certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. After losing her sister to suicide freshman year of university, Mackenzie has dedicated her life to defeating the stigma surrounding mental illness and increasing access to mental health care. In 2016 Mackenzie founded non profit organization myteam.org whose mission is to “equip friends and family members of those struggling with a mental health condition with the right information and resources necessary to take action and help their loved ones.” TEAM’s digital pocket guide has helped serve over 1M unique users across all of their digital platforms. In 2017 Mackenzie co-founded MiResource, which works with university counseling centers across the country to connect their students to mental healthcare. Mackenzie’s work was recognized by the American Psychiatric Association’s Innovation Lab, The Entreprenur's Organization, The JED Foundation, Healthy Minds Network, Children's Health Council, Vogue magazine and more for her work in fighting stigma and creating innovative technology in the mental health industry. She has partnered with leading organizations to design, execute, and be a spokesperson for several national anti-stigma media campaigns such as “The art of ending stigma” a collaboration with Johnson & Johnson, and joined the chief executive director of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as well as actress Glenn Close of NGO, Bring Change To Mind, in several campaigns to raise awareness for suicide prevention.
