Step by step: 1. Grounding. Sink your energy into the earth and allow energy to rise through the feet.
Zen meditation: What was my original face before my parents were born?
2. Infinite flow I sequences with standing balance core.
Balancing on one leg helps maintain and repair the brain. It trains the mind to be alertness and spatial awareness. It prevents against falls.
3. Sun Salutation variation
4. Infinite flow II: Energizing the spine and stimulating the brain. Spinal twists detox the core and integrate the nervous system.
4. Infinite flow III: Lunge variations with spinal twists and circular shoulder rotations. ½ forward bend extension increases flexibility in the mid and lower hips, and knees.
5. Hanumanasana or full longitudinal split. Builds inner concentration and power. Opens hips for greater athleticism. Strengthens pelvic girdle and eyes.
We add a gentle circular articulation for greater mobility of the joint capsules in the hips.
6. Seated forward bend variations. These poses open up hamstrings and adductors with core engagement.
7. Camel pose enhances spine flexibility and inner stillness.
8. Core strength "3" stimulates blood flow and bolsters brain health.
9. Laying down stretches each leg passively to accumulate energy into the core. Additional spinal twists actively rotate the spinal column (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar).
*important * precise alignment in each pose/movement is crucial for 1) avoidance of injuries 2) maintaining youthfulness and longevity of your practice 3) joint health and good circulation of blood and lymph. Precise alignment with breath coordination is so important! Many yoga teachers and practitioners do not do this and then get injuries, even require surgeries! (These injuries also proceed from untrained breathing awareness. Breath and movement must be harmonious!)
