The Peak Pilgrimage is a 35 mile trail from Ilam to Eyam in the beautiful Peak District National Park. We walked this over three days - here's part one.
Starting from Ilam on the Staffordshire border, we passed through Dovedale and Milldale with its tiny chapel. Climbing to Alstonefield, we found our third church before dropping steeply down Gypsy Bank into Wolfscote and Beresford Dales.
Although there is accommodation in Hartington we turned off the trail to a campsite behind the Waterloo Inn at Biggin.
