Описание: This is the fried crust version of Guam's Chamorro food CHamoru pumpkin turnover. It's even better the next day! If you are planning a holiday gathering or thinking of what to bring to the party, this Guam pumpkin turnover recipe is a great make-ahead dish. Make the filling on day 1, mix the dough and shape the buchi buchi on day 2, freeze for months ahead, fry it the day before then take it to the party the day of.

INGREDIENTS / DIRECTIONS
FILLING
Set 1
3 - 15 oz. cans pureed pumpkin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
¼ teaspoon vanilla
¼ cup white sugar
1½ cup dark brown sugar

Tools: colander, medium bowl, large pot

PASTRY
Set 1
4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar

Set 2
1/2 cup Crisco

Set 3
1 can coconut milk, cold

Tools: large bowl, rolling pin, 4-5 inch pot cover, wax paper, large pot, oil
