Mount Hope, elevation 13,939’, is a Centennial 13er (top 100 tallest peaks in Colorado) in the Sawatch Range near Buena Vista. I hiked this peak a day after my hike of the Apostles due to their proximity. The hike is known for its steepness, as one ascends over 4000ft in about 3.5 miles, with some class2/3 scramble mixed in along the East Ridge of Mt Hope. The fall colors were at peak condition and the views along the whole way were outstanding. The weather looked threatening all morning but the storm never materialized on this mountain. A strenuous but rewarding hike
