Build explosive speed and power for soccer with this Day 3 Athlete Training Session. This workout is part of my 3-Day Soccer Strength Split:
Day 1: Lower Body Max Strength
Day 2: Upper Body Max Strength
Day 3 (Today): Athlete Day – Speed & Power
In this session, we’ll go through:
✅ Dynamic warm-up to activate and mobilize
✅ Speed mechanic drills (ankling, skips, high knees, sprints)
✅ Flying 10m sprints with full recovery
✅ Gym power circuits with kettlebell swings, med ball slams, squats, push press, and injury-prevention builder sets
This workout is designed to increase rate of force development, improve acceleration, boost top speed, and build the ability to repeat sprints for the full 90 minutes.
