Here is a closer look at Sean Brady's strength and conditioning process, with his coach Gabe Rangel.
I love to see strength and conditioning for MMA done properly, so here is my breakdown so that you can start focusing on power development in your own training, too.
Programming;
Warm up
Assault Bike x 3 minutes
Lock Clams 2 x 20/side
Side Plank x 15s/side
Elbow Plank x 30s
Banded Pull Aparts x 20-30
Knee Rolls x 10-20/side
Fire Hydrant Hip Circles x 5-10/direction/side
Froggies x 20-30
Cat/Cow x 10
World's Greatest Stretch x 5/side
Banded Dislocates x 10-20
Potentiation
A. Vertical Pogos 2 x 20-30
B. Box Jumps 2 x 5
C. Overhead Medball Slams 2 x 5-6
Rest 60-90 seconds between trisets
1a. Clean High Pulls 3 x 3-5 @ RPE 8
1b. Triple Broad Jump 3 x (3 jumps)
Rest 3 minutes between supersets
2. Speed Back Squat 3 x 5 @ 75-80% of 1RM
Rest 2-3 minutes between sets
3a. Banded Bench Press 3 x 5 @ 75% of 1RM with band
3b. Ballistic Chins 3 x 5 @ bodyweight
Rest 3 minutes between supersets
4. Loaded Carries 3 x 30s/side
Rest 90 seconds between sets
