In this video, I share my summer lawn care tips for keeping your cool season lawn healthy during the heat. 🌱☀️
I start off in the garage talking about why it’s important to mow your grass high in summer to reduce stress and keep it green. I also share some of my favorite summer lawn fertilizers and soil amendments to beat the heat.
Here’s what I used today:
✅ Sea Kelp (Indian River) – improves root health, drought resistance, and soil biology. Great for DIY lawn care in summer.

✅ Simple Lawn Solutions Iron – greens up your lawn fast without adding nitrogen, making it safe for hot summer applications.

✅ Humichar (The Andersons) – a soil amendment combining humic acid and biochar to build healthy soil and retain moisture, crucial for summer lawn tips.

Then I head outside to trim, edge, and mow high, which are basic lawn mowing and lawn care tips for summer. After mowing, I put down Humichar and spray with sea kelp and iron, then water it all in.
