In this video I show how I spray fast release nitrogen fertilizer – ending my fall nitrogen blitz for the season. This is part of my fall lawn care routine to keep a green lawn going into winter.

I start with lawn care basics — mowing high and using the lawn striper — then I mix N-EXT N-Charge (28-0-0) with ammonium sulfate (21-0-0) for a powerful liquid lawn fertilizer spray. This fall lawn fertilizer is one of the best fertilizer options for cool season grass going into dormancy.

This is great for DIY lawn care if you want a green lawn, whether you normally use urea fertilizer, organic fertilizer, or Scotts fertilizer. This final fall fertilizer application finishes the front yard fall lawn maintenance before snow.

💧 AMS Formula for 0.5 lb N per 1,000 sq ft:
0.5 ÷ 0.21 = 2.4 lbs of Ammonium Sulfate per 1,000 sq ft
