Learn how to make one of the most popular street side food in Mumbai, Dhaba Style Chicken kheema. It is best served with Pav but can also be enjoyed with roti, naan or paratha.

INGREDIENTS:
250 gms. chicken kheema
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 bay leaves
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
3 green cardamom pods
4-5 cloves
1 medium sized onion – finely chopped
1 medium sized tomato finely chopped
2 green chilies, finely chopped
1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp. red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
1/3 cup beaten curd
Coriander leaves, finely chopped
3 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. butter
METHOD:
Heat a kadhai or pan and add oil and butter.
Once butter is melt add cumin seeds let them crackle
Then add bay leaves, cinnamon stick, green cardamom pods and cloves.
Sauté the dry spices for few seconds.
Add medium sized onion finely chopped. Sauté till it becomes golden brown in color.
Add finely chopped chilies and ginger garlic paste and further sauté it till the raw smell of ginger garlic goes away.
After that add all the dry spices, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala. Add Salt to taste.
Cook the dry masala for 1-2 minutes. At this time if the dry spices are sticking to the kadhai add little water to avoid masala from burning.
Add 1 medium sized tomato finely chopped. Cook the tomato till they become mushy.
Add finely chopped coriander leaves, chicken kheema and Mix everything well.
Add butter and beaten curd and mix well. Now cover it and cook it for 15-20 minutes on medium flame.
Your Dhaba Style Chicken Kheema is ready to serve.
