Victorian Goldfields Railway 20th Anniversary Celebrations

This week Schony747 is at The Victorian Goldfields Railway (VGR) in central Victoria. On 22nd March 2025 the VGR celebrated a 20 year Milestone. It was in March 2025, the VGR officially commenced passenger train services along the length of the former branch line between Maldon and Castlemaine. Until this date, services only ran as far as Muckleford which is half way down the line. The train would depart Maldon, run to Muckleford and return to Maldon. VGR organised a special members train to mark the anniversary and resident steam locomotive J549 has a special round head board to mark the event. The video has views of the event and celebrations of the day.
