From Friday 13th June to Monday 16th June 2025, the Southern Downs Steam Railway ran their inaugural steam train out to Roma on the western line via overnight stops at Chinchilla.
BB18 ¼ 1037 on loan from DownsSteam Toowoomba was again utilized as their own C17 steam locomotive is still under repairs.
This video showcases the entirety of the epic 4 day trip.
