External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, on a two-day visit to Israel, met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem to discuss strengthening the India–Israel strategic partnership. The talks covered cooperation in technology, economy, skills, connectivity, and security, and came amid preparations for Netanyahu’s proposed visit to India. Jaishankar also met Economy Minister Nir Barkat, expressing confidence in an early conclusion of the India–Israel Free Trade Agreement to boost economic ties.
