First Holy Communion Cake Topper | Priest topper | Church altar Topper

Описание: This design was based on one of my previous cakes that I’d made for a very special client a few years ago. I’ve slightly modified a few things but kept the originality of the cake.

If you’re looking to make a priestly ordination cake this would make a great idea

The choc bar size I’ve used is 5”x3”
All toppers are made from 50/50 paste
Making the altar (table) marbled is not necessary but that was what I wanted. You could even go for a wooden look.
All the little accessories that went on the altar(Bible, cross, candles) and the paschal candle (the tall candle) have to be made and left to harden before they’re painted. I left mine over a day.

Please insert a wooden stick to support the priest topper as I believe it’s not visible in the video.
The priest's skin colour was made using ivory gel paste
I realised that I never recorded the making of the priest’s hands so I had to film another separate clip and add it to the video.
If adding a beard make the face a little small as once the beard is added it sums up to be the right size of the head. I realised this too late 😅

My toppers are always made according to the size of the cake its supposed to go on so I don't really weigh the sugar paste (fondant) I just eyeball everything and work it out.
