🟡 Besan Ladu (ಬೇಸನ್ ಲಡ್ಡು)
Besan Ladu (ಬೇಸನ್ ಲಡ್ಡು) is a popular Indian sweet made from gram flour, ghee, and sugar. It is commonly prepared during festivals like Deepavali and special occasions.
📝 Ingredients (ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು):
1 cup ಬೇಸನ್ ಹಿಟ್ಟು (Gram flour)
½ cup ತುಪ್ಪ (Ghee)
¾ cup ಪುಡಿ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ (Powdered sugar)
2 tbsp ಕಜೂ / ಬಾದಾಮಿ (Cashews/Almonds – optional)
¼ tsp ಏಲಕ್ಕಿ ಪುಡಿ (Cardamom powder)
👩🍳 Preparation Method (ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ):
Heat a thick-bottomed pan and add ghee.
Add besan flour and roast on low flame.
Stir continuously for 10–15 minutes until it turns golden brown and gives a nice aroma.
Add chopped cashews and fry slightly.
Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool slightly.
Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well.
While still warm, take small portions and shape into round balls (ladus).
Let them cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
✅ Tips:
Roast on low flame to avoid burning.
If mixture is dry, add 1–2 tsp warm ghee.
You can add raisins if desired.
