About The Hokuriku Shinkansen:
The Hokuriku Shinkansen is a high speed rail line that connects Kanazawa Station and Tokyo Station that is jointly run by JR East and JR West. Since the line was extended to Kanazawa Station in March 2015, the city of Kanazawa has become a popular tourist destination.

There are three types of seats available on the train: a standard economy class, a business class known as "The Green Car, and the first class car known as "Gran Class". Today we will be riding in Gran Class. The Gran class features a luxurious cabin space, a specially engineered car that reduces noise and vibration, premium leather seats that can recline up to 45 degrees.
