The Peatland Railway can be found a mile or so from the village of Crowle North Lincolnshire.
A rare 3' gauge railway which runs towards the site of the Peat area.In the days that Peat was taken from this area it never had a railway,although other sites did and the type of loco's seen in the video would have worked on them.
The Wickham trolley that we rode on is kindly loaned by the Railway Trolley Trust.
You can even have cab rides in a Schoma.
We were very impressed by the cafe and waiting area.Very nice.
The railway has plans on extending the line further to the Peat area when funds and time/work force allow.
Something very different to visit.
