USA2020 | Episode 2 - We arrive in LA and pick up our skoolie. The adventure begins.

Описание: Episode 2: We are tired, happy and expectant when arriving in Los Angeles after 22 hours of travel. We have rented a car and booked a hotel for the next five days, to be sure that we can pick up and drive in our newly purchased American school bus. We have heard about major problems with registering newly purchased buses and thus being able to drive in them. We are very excited, both to finally see our future home on wheels but also on the actual delivery and condition of the bus we have only seen in pictures.

Gustav has been planning his major computer purchase for almost two years. Today, all the savings are invested in a gaming computer that he has to collect himself. We go on a trip to Hollywood to climb the letters on the mountain and afterwards we have to dance on the stars on Hollywood Boulevard.

We buy an American school bus through a large online auction house in the USA, where we compete with the professional buyers. Then the final price is negotiated in place and we can call ourselves owners of a real yellow American school bus with "dog nose", stop sign, flashing lights and 39 seats.

We know that a lot can happen at home while we set off on our long adventure almost 10,000 km away. There is a lot to keep track of before departure and luckily the whole family is gathered for Christmas. We reach right around and see how two of our adult children, Nikita and Kion, have arranged themselves in their new home in Copenhagen.
