Today was the longest chemo day yet.
Six hours turned into eight after a rough night where I barely slept, and the team needed extra time to talk through complications and side effects. Everyone felt tired. Everyone felt heavy. The whole day just had this melancholy energy to it.
Chemo itself went fine — just… long. Really long.
I also finally got access to a new medication they’ve been trying to track down for me. It costs $18,000. That number hits differently when you’re already fighting for your life. I keep hoping all of this is worth it. I have to believe it is.
Today was a struggle for everyone here.
But tomorrow… we get to go home. And that’s the part I’m holding onto.
Thanks for sticking with me through all of this — the good days, the slow days, and the days that take more out of me than they give.
The Bear keeps going. Even on days like this.
