Arthur Marshall was a musician friend of Scott Joplin, who became acquainted with him when both lived in Sedalia, Missouri. He wrote six or seven rags in the Joplin era, including this very well done and fairly well known rag, published with Stark Music in St. Louis and New York in 1908.
