Wildlife Watching in Spring

Описание: Join wildlife artist Derek Robertson to hear about watching birds and other wildlife, and see trailcam and digiscope footage of wildlife in Spring. Featuring badgers, otters, oystercatchers and shelduck. You can hear about how the wild creatures are responding to the start of the breeding season.

From outside the artist's studio on the shore of the river Tay in Fife, East Scotland. These are the animals that live around my home and inspire my artwork. Check out the other videos and art demos on my Youtube channel.

There is a lot going on now with mother badgers cleaning their burrows and dragging in new bedding. Otters are moving from the river and shore up into the ponds and little streams to hunt frogs that are just beginning to congregate there to spawn. Shelduck have only just returned here from their wintering grounds in the Netherlands.
