A year ago, I built "Endeavor," a 3D printed humanoid robot that I designed for a Japanese competition called ROBO-ONE. Endeavor has 17 RC servos, controlled by a Servo2040 and ESP32 with a wireless Switch controller. No IMU, dynamic balancing, or any of the sort; the movements are pre-programmed into the robot, but for a first independent engineering project this was still pretty cool to see move around.
I brought Endeavor to RoboGames 2024's "Android Kung Fu" event, but I haven't really touched the project since. I've recently taken it out of storage, and I have plans to build a version two that I want to document through these videos with the intention to open source the design and code. For this first video, I'm going over the original project's development process, results, and plans for the new robot.
