Plans are in place to evacuate over four thousand offenders from Pollsmoor Correctional Facility over the next two months to other correctional facilities in the province. The move comes after two offenders died last month after contracting Leptospirosis - a disease spread through contact with rat urine and other infected animals. Correctional services says the finer details of the move can't be divulged as it could pose a security risk.
