Released at South Block on March 10, the document lays out how India will build a world-class, AI-integrated, jointly-commanded military by 2047. Built on four pillars, jointness, technology, self-reliance and a whole-of-nation approach, it arrives eight months after Operation Sindoor forced all three services to rethink their operational preparedness. The vision covers AI, space warfare, quantum technologies, cyber and lethal autonomous systems. The question is whether India has the institutional will to execute it.
