In Israel, the ideal time to see the flowers is in the spring. The weather is lovely, following the winter's heavy rainfall and chill, and just before the summer's heat waves arrive. The plentiful rains has saturated the grounds, allowing the spring flowers to bloom to their full potential.
Spring blooms are vibrant and diverse, with 670 distinct plant species calling this mountain home.
Carmel national park is located on Mount Carmel, between Wadi Milek in the south (Route 70) and Haifa's southern point. Because of its near to the sea, the Carmel receives a lot of rain, which allows for the development of well-developed Mediterranean woods. Mount Carmel National Park is Israel's largest national park, encompassing most of the Carmel mountain range and over 10,000 hectares of pine, eucalyptus, and cypress forest. There are various biking and walking pathways throughout the park, as well as specific nature reserves and approximately 250 prehistoric human habitation archaeological sites.
