Even though they did not share any scenes this season - besides him sitting there in Ciri's dream - how can their scenes be so easy to manipulate and be pulled together? This became an AU without any planning at all. :D

Story: After failing Emhyr, Cahir flees to Kaer Morhen. Unfortunately, Ciri is there and still set on her goal to kill the Black Knight as he is the symbol of all her nightmares - just like in the books. When it comes to actually killing and torturing someone who is captured and on his lowest point, Ciri can't help but hesitate. Tissaia even encourages her to just use this opportunity to practice her magic skills but has to go through Cahir's memories herself in the end while Ciri cannot even watch the torture. Ciri gets torn between feeling sympathy and her struggling with the PTSD Nilfgaard's attack on Cintra caused her. When she realizes there is a connection due to Ithlinne's prophecy, she decides to ask Yennefer for help to free Cahir before he gets executed. After that they just kinda bond over the fact that they are on the same side now and discussing the past. Plus, a hope for something more in the future - because putting Nivellen's explanation over the play sounds now more like a trailer than an actual end for this edit.
Black/White scenes with a single color focus are memories plus that one wishful thinking as Ciri talks about wanting to kill the Black Knight.

The song is actually in my playlist for "Uprooted" but since I will never likely get any footage to use, I just edit with it for this ship. The concept is both of them trying to move on; after the shattered promises the White Flame promised for Cahir and Ciri dealing with the fact that she has Elder Blood. It just seemed fitting. :D
