Wind turbine blades around a 90 degree connection on the IORY and CF&E Railroad

Описание: The Chicago Ft Wayne and Eastern Railroad moving 243 foot long wind turbine blades on the connection track between the IORY ( Indiana & Ohio Railway ) and CF&E in Lima Ohio. The location is know as Sugar st diamond and historically was the crossing of the Pennsylvania RR (E/W) and DT&I (N/S). Today both companies are owned by Genesee and Wyoming. The blades were offloaded from a ship at the port of Toledo and traveled south on the CSX Toledo Subdivision. CSX boasted on their Facebook page about moving the longest blades that have traveled east of the Mississippi, but stated that they were moved to "their next destination" CSX neglected to mention the risk G&W took by moving them around the connection! The CSX crew handed the train off at DT&I Junction (minus the engines) to an IORY crew with the CF&E Geeps. The train was taken onto the DT&I south through Lima and reversed very slowly through the connection. I have some of the video in real time and some is a time lapse since this took approximately 20 minutes to shove. About 20 G&W personnel were on hand to monitor the move.
