starting a business is not for the weak, and let me tell you—there are so many things i wish someone had told me before i jumped in. from struggling with burnout to realizing the importance of an email list (seriously, why did no one stress this enough?!), this journey has been full of lessons i had to learn the hard way.

when i first started taylor candle & co., i thought passion alone would carry me through. but passion isn’t enough when you’re dealing with slow sales, figuring out marketing, and learning how to actually run a business. in this video, i’m sharing 6 things i wish i knew before starting my business—so you don’t have to make the same mistakes i did. if you’re a small business owner, thinking about launching something, or just curious about the reality of entrepreneurship, this one’s for you.
