The US government tried to stop the New York Times and Washington Post from publishing a secret report about Vietnam policy. The Supreme Court said that stopping someone from publishing something is usually not allowed, and the government has to have a really good reason to do it. Two lower courts also said the government didn't have a good enough reason in this case.
