The closing three minutes from a peal of Stedman Triples on this fine heavy 8 in a rich London suburb. The bells, formed of four 1938 Gillett and Johnston bells (1,3,5,8) matched superbly with four modern Whitechapel castings (2,4,6,7) and hung by Matthew Higby, were installed in 2005 to mark the church's 150th anniversary. They replace an old ring of 3 (tenor 6-0-13) which were provided for the church clock in the 1870's and later adapted for change ringing. The four Gillett bells came via the Keltek Trust and were originally housed in St Luke, Cowley, Oxford. A glorious octave, well worth a visit on. The recording is once again used with theee kind permission of John Pladdys.
