Xilitla, is a Pueblo Magico in San Luis Potosí containing the surreal dream garden of Edward James, and eccentric heir. The gardens were built by more than 150 people over a period of almost 50 years as an attempt to recreate the garden of eden. Edward James brought plant and animal species from around the world to his piece of paradise, Las Pozas. He had eccentric friends like Salvador Dali and the owner of Guinness beer who he was in the process of building a home on the property for when he passed away. These gardens were built to be private but upon his passing they were bought by a Mexican foundation to preserve and share with the public.

From Wikipedia - Las Pozas is a surrealistic group of structures created by Edward James, more than 2,000 feet above sea level, in a subtropical rainforest in the mountains of Mexico. It includes more than 80 acres of natural waterfalls and pools interlaced with towering surrealist sculptures in concrete.

There are many things to see in the area including Las Pozas de Xilitla, Cascada Tamul, Puente de Dios, Sotano de Golondrinas, and much more.

In this travel vlog I do a tour of Las Pozas in Xilitla, Mexico with a guide with is now required due to covid 19. Fortunately since I needed an English speaking guide we get a 1 on 1 experience. Some places are closed others are open but there will always be adventure to be found traveling Mexico. I will taste exotic and street food, delve into new cities, and explore ancient ruins.
