This is Part 2 of LV and my motorcycle trip to Hue, Vietnam 🇻🇳
First stop — the famous Abandoned Water Park in Hue. Years ago, visitors had to “tip” security just to enter… but now for 50,000 VND you get a bicycle and even a bottle of water. Huge upgrade! We explore the dragon structure and see how the place has changed.
Next, we ride out to the colorful Incense Village just outside Hue, where LV and I learn how traditional Vietnamese incense is made. It was such a fun (and surprisingly calming) experience.
Finally, we visit the historic Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue’s most iconic temples. This is the home temple of Thich Quang Duc, the monk who self-immolated in Saigon in 1963. The actual car he drove is still preserved there — powerful and humbling to see in person.
After an unforgettable day, we begin the ride back home.
