Plane spotting at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL - WMKK) as it is the main international airport serving Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. It is one of the busiest airports in Southeast Asia and serves as a major transportation hub for both domestic and international travel. There are two terminals, KLIA 1 for all the major international carriers and KLIA 2 for low-cost carriers such as AirAsia, Jetstar, Cebu Pacific and Scoot. The airport consists of 3 parallel runways, 14L/32R, 14R/32L and 15/33 that run at approximately 4,000 m length each to serve both KLIA 1 and KLIA 2 terminals. Runway 32R is the major departure runway for KLIA 1 but in some rare cases it is also used as the main landing runway for KLIA 1 and arrivals for KLIA 2 as well. Runway 32L is the major landing runway for KLIA 1 with some flights from KLIA 2 landing here too. Runway 15/33 is the primary departure runway for KLIA 2 and consecutively used for arrivals as well.
