Do you ever catch yourself over-giving or over-compensating in your relationships, hoping that if you just give more, you'll finally be enough?

It’s a pattern so many of us fall into—especially when we grew up feeling like we had to earn love by sacrificing our needs. 😔

But the truth is, your worth isn't tied to how much you give, and overextending yourself doesn’t create genuine connection—it creates emotional burnout and codependency.

Boundaries are an act of self-love—a radical commitment to your emotional well-being, no longer looking to others to validate your existence.

Exercise: Reflect & Reclaim Your Power

Take a moment to reflect on a relationship where you feel you’ve been over-giving or over-compensating.

🖊️ Write down:

• What you’ve been giving that feels too much.
• How it impacts your emotional and mental health.
• What you truly need from this relationship to feel respected and valued.

Next, practice stating your needs. Use a simple, assertive phrase like, “I’ve noticed I’ve been taking on more than I can handle. I need to step back and wanted to bring it up because I value our relationship and I want to make sure we have a mutually supportive relationship.

Remember, boundaries aren't selfish—they're essential to honoring your self-worth and having genuine connections.
