Part of the Midwest Food Stories summer cocktail series, we asked craft bartender Brady Hess to come hang at our studio and show us how to make a couple of his favorite summer cocktails. In this episode, Brady makes a Rhubarb Boulevardier using J. Rieger & Co Kansas City Whiskey and local rhubarb.
A classic Boulevardier employs whisky, sweet vermouth, and Campari. For this version, Brady infused the Alagna Vermouth Bianco with locally-sourced rhubarb and whiskey sourced from J. Reiger out of Kansas City. Check them out here:

To infuse the vermouth, simply rinse off the rhubarb, break/tear them into manageable chunks, and then throw them directly into the vermouth bottle and let it soak in that flavor for 3 days.

Here's the recipe for Brady's Rhubarb Boulevardier
1 ounce J. Reiger Whiskey
1 ounce Campari
1 ounce Rhubarb infused Alagna Vermouth Bianco
Stir well in a mixing vessel and then strain into rocks glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with rhubarb stalk. Enjoy!
