These are the highlights for Game 5 of the 2001 World Series. After a dramatic and intense Game 4, The New York Yankees thanks to Derek Jeter’s clutch homer in the 10th inning have evened the series 2-2 going into Game 5. With this World Series now tied, both teams face a must-win situation here in Game 5 before going back into Phoenix for Game 6. The New York Yankees have Mike Mussina on the mound once again, who didn’t pitch well in Game 1, but hopes to pitch well here in Game 5. The Arizona Diamondbacks have Miguel Batista on the mound, who has been so good for the Arizona Diamondbacks throughout the postseason. In a close, dramatic, and classic Game 5, both teams face off against one another for one last game in the Bronx before heading back into the desert for Game 6.
