How To Create Contacts With Your Garmin inReach SE+ and inReach Portal

You can create contacts on your Garmin inReach SE+ or Explorer+ by either entering them manually on the device or via the inReach portal. If you are paired via bluetooth to your smartphone, you can access the contacts more easily.

At the very least you should enter the emergency contacts you required to be on your device in case of emergency.

You'll simply need a first & last name, valid email or mobile number. If the contact is an existing inReach user, you can also enter the inreach address.

You can delete a contact by editing the contact on your device and selecting DELETE.

In you were to create a contact via the inReach portal, you just need to go to the CONTACTS tab and click on ADD to enter the contacts.

NOTE: that if you add contacts via the portal, you will need to sync your inReach via the inReach SYNC program (windows or mac) and plug in your inreach via the USB cable so that the information can be transferred to the inReach.
