Paneer - 250 gms cut into cubes
Heat 3 teaspoons oil in a pan . Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, half teaspoon chilli powder and half teaspoon salt. Add paneer cubes and fry on both sides till golden on medium flame. Transfer onto a plate.
For Gravy
Oil/Ghee - 4 tablespoons Cumin
Cumin seeds/Jeera - half teaspoon
Green Cardamom- 3
Cloves - 4
Black Cardamom- 1
Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
Bay leaf - 1
Red chillies - 3
Ginger Garlic Paste/Crushed - 1 tablespoon
Onion chopped - 2 medium
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder- 1 tablespoon
Tomato puree - 6 tablespoons Hot water
Yogurt - 3 tablespoons
Hot water - 1 cup
Kasuri methi - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder - half teaspoon
Fresh cream - 3 tablespoons Coriander leaves
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add cumin/jeera, green cardamom , cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, black cardamom and red chillies. Fry for few seconds. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell is gone. Add chopped onions and sauté for 5 minutes on low flame. Add salt and mix well. Add turmeric, chilli powder and coriander powder. Fry for 30 seconds on medium heat. Add tomato puree and sauté for 3 minute. Switch off flame and add yogurt. Mix well and switch on flame. Sauté well till oil separates on low flame. Add fried paneer cubes and mix well. Add 1 cup hot water and mix well. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame. Open lid and taste check for salt. Add more if needed. Add Kasuri methi and fresh cream. Mix well. Switch off flame.
Garnish with coriander leaves. Enjoy!
