Born: 1225, Roccasecca, Kingdom of Sicily
Died: 7 March 1274 (aged 49), Papal States

St. Thomas Aquinas, O.P. was a humble Dominican friar whose life was devoted to seeking truth, loving God, and serving the Church with faith and reason united.

Known as the Doctor Angelicus, he taught that all wisdom begins and ends in God, and that prayer must guide learning.

Despite his great intellect, St Thomas lived with deep humility and reverence for the mystery of God. His writings and hymns continue to lead souls into trust, clarity, and loving surrender.

This prayer invites us to walk gently with him — seeking understanding not for pride, but for love of God and faithful living.
