Carrying a full size pistol with a weapon light attached IWB has been likened to trying to conceal a brick. Here is how I carry my Glock 35, an enormous double stack .40, with a Streamlight TLR-2 inside the waistband using a Raven Concealment “Phantom Light Compatible Holster” with tuckable offset wings. I think many internet “experts” would be surprised at how well it works!

Streamlight TLR-2
Nearly every full size service pistol that has been introduced in the past ten years has come standard with an accessory rail for mounting lights and lasers. Legacy pistols like the 1911, Baretta, Glock, and Sig p226/229 have also been revamped to better accommodate accessories as well, adding new light rails and modifying trigger guards. It seems manufacturers have discovered that the public wants lights on pistols.
The problem is that this creates a disaster for holster manufacturers. If you take into account the large numbers of available light ready pistol options and multiply it be the number of weapon lights on the market and the number of possible combinations is astounding.
The problem of finding a holster for a pistol with a weapon light is daunting for a police duty holster, but doubly so for a ccw, CHL, off duty style concealment holsters.
There just aren't many good options out there for concealing a full size handgun with a light. Make it a 5" Barrel competition model or Tactical/practical like my Glock 35 or a xd 5.25 and add in a large light/laser combo like a TLR-2 or surefire x400 and the task seems insurmountable.
I was hesitant to drop the cash for a custom raven concealment Phantom holster even if it meant being able to concealed carry my duty weapon. After much hemming and hawing I decided to not only order one, but to check essentially every box. I got the offset tuckable wings on mine, and boy am I glad I did.
I'm not able to carry my big mares leg of a pistol in the heat of the summer with shorts and a T-shirt, but I can carry (quite discretely) it in shorts and an unbuttoned checkered shirt. That opens up options that I didn't think possible before buying this holster.
I can now leave work without worrying about the logistics of what to do with my duty pistol. I can also carry my work gun for side jobs working security and bodyguard gigs that require concealment of all my gear.
This is one piece that won't end up in my "box o' holsters" under my bed.
