Charlotte Nørlund-Matthiessen is a Danish Natolin Alumna and European Parliament policy adviser. As co-founder of the start-up Clicknsign, the first online signature platform for citizen law proposals in Europe, she discusses means of overcoming the issue of democratic deficit and aspiration to enhance civic engagement.
As policy adviser to the European Parliament, Norlund-Matthiessen, handles transport policies and works with its Long-Term Investment Group to fund large energy and infrastructure projects. Previously, she cofounded CLICKNSIGN, a civic tech start-up that helped EU citizens draft laws and gather signatures for petitions at a massive scale. In 2017 she was granted the Forbes 30 under 30 Europe 2017: Law & Policy, for championing Europeans' rights and political movements. Charlotte is also a College of Europe Natolin Alumna.
